The present invention relates to a suspension, particularly for the rear wheels of a motor vehicle. This suspension comprises a suspension member (31) articulated to the body (10) of the vehicle (1), so as to allow the deflection of this member in a plane which is perpendicular to the seating plane (P) of the vehicle, a pendular element (33) articulated to the suspension member via an axis (33b) which extends substantially parallel to the seating plane transversely to the median plane (M) of the vehicle, as well as a wheel support (32) integral with the pendular element (33), and is characterised in that the articulation axis (33b) of the pendular element is inclined with respect to the wheel support (32), towards the rear of the vehicle and towards the said median plane.
