Method for applying a coating-layer of ion-exchanger mass to a supporting matrix of a filter element disposed in a filter tank 20, the filter tank being installed in a circulation circuit comprising, apart from the filter tank, a coating tank 21, to which suspended ion-exchanger mass is supplied, a pipe 23 through which ion-exchanger mass is supplied to the filter tank, a pipe 24 through which the clear filtrate from the filter tank is returned to the coating tank, a by-pass pipe 25 between the return pipe and the supply pipe through which the clear filtrate is in part led past the coating tank, two flow valves 26,27, one in the return pipe, X 26, and one in the by- pass pipe, Y 27, and a circulation pump 28 disposed in the supply pipe and in which the concentration of suspension of ion-exchanger mass supplied to the filter tank 20 is maintained at a value between 100 and 500 ppm as a result of the flow through the flow valve X in the return pipe being controlled such that the proportion of clear filtrate which is led past the coating tank is regulated. <IMAGE> |
