The invention relates to a carrying case for a battery- operated machine or the like. It comprises a combination of a carrier 1, which is to rest against the clothing, preferably against the belt, of the user of the carrying case, and a case 3 lying adjacent thereto. The carrying case further comprises a frame part 8, in which the carrier 1 has been fastened, preferably detachably, by a hinged joint. In addition, the said case 3 has been detachably fastened in the frame part.
