<p>PURPOSE:To enhance image characteristics, fixation characteristics, storage stability, plasticizer resistance, stability of electric chargeability characteristics, and the like by using a specified polyester resin for a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The polyester resin to be used comprises polyvalent carboxylic acids and polyols; the total acid component residues are (A) >=70mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid residues, that is, 40-95mol% terephthalic acid residues and 5-60mol% isophthalic acid residues, (B) 0.2-6mol% sulfonic acid residues and their salt residues, (C) 0.5-8mol% trivalent and higher-valent carbccxylic acid residues, and the total diol component residues are 20-98mol% residues of diol of formula I and 2-80mol% residues of dicyclohexyldiol of formula II. The polyester resin containing substantially no gel component is used for the binder resin. In formulae I and II, each of R1-R4 is, independently, H, methyl, or ethyl and each of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 2' 3', 4', 5', and 6' indicate the substitution positions of the hydroxyl groups.</p> |
