PURPOSE:To provide a sheet transport device capable of processing jam securely and easily. CONSTITUTION:When a jam is detected by jam detecting sensors 16, 17, a green LED (1) in an applicable one of an opening guide plate 10, 11 emits light to indicate a subject part of jam processing. In case the opening guide plate 10, 11 which is not related with the jam processing is opened, a red LED (2) in the applicable opening guide plate 10, 11 emits light for alarming. |
