TARGET CORE DETECTOR

PURPOSE:To contactlessly detect an oven number and a furnace group and to reduce maintenance cost and production cost by providing a target core detector with an oven number/furnace group detecting means for detecting an oven number from the slit array of a target and detecting a furnace group from the width of the target. CONSTITUTION:In the target core detector for detecting the oven number and furnace group of a furnace such as a coke furnace, a target 1 in present between a light source 3 and a CCD line sensor 4 and the array of slits 2 on the target 1 is plotted on a photoelectric conversion element through an iris mechanism and a lens which are included in the sensor 4. A photoelectrically converted signal through the photoelectric conversion element is sent to a controller 6 through a cable 5 and arithmetically processed by the controller 6 to finally detect the oven number of the furnace and the furnace group from the width of the target 1. The detected data are outputted to a required control board or the like through an output cable 7. An automatic iris mechanism is preferable for the iris mechanism for preventing malfunction of the sensor 4 due to the change in the quantity of light around the target 1 between daytime and night.
