PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. excellent in radiation resistance, processibility, and elasticity at a low cost by compounding an ethylene-propylene rubber with a diphenylamine compd. and sulfur. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn, is prep. by compounding 100 pts.wt. ethylene- propylene rubber (e.g. an ethylene-propylene copolymer or an ethylene-propylene- diene terpolymer) with 1-20 pts.wt. diphenylamine compd. (e.g. a compd. of formula I, II, or III) and 0.05-10 pts.wt. sulfur. The compsn, is free from blooming, thus preventing degradation in finish, and has an improved radiation resistance. |
