PURPOSE:To obtain a judging apparatus for an incoming direction of sound waves which uses a plurality of microphones to judge incoming directions of sound waves to the microphones and which synthesizes the sound waves arriving approximately at the same time and then judges the incoming direction of the synthesized sound waves. CONSTITUTION:A judging apparatus for an incoming direction of sound waves comprises microphones 1-1 to 1-4, amplifiers 2-1 to 2-4, switches 3-1 to 3-4, memories 4-1 to 4-4, a controller 5, an equal sound wave detector 6, a sound wave incoming time difference detector 7, a sound wave incoming direction detector 8 and a sound wave incoming level detector 9, wherein sound waves which arrive approximately at the same time are judged to be synthesized by a synthesization judging device 10, and an incoming direction of the synthesized sound waves is operated by a synthesized sound wave incoming direction operator 11 while a synthesized sound wave incoming level is operated by a synthesized sound wave incoming level operator 12 to be output. Since the incoming direction of the sound waves which arrive approximately at the same time is output as synthesized sound waves, it is possible to make determination suitable for a human hearing sense. |
