PRODUCTION OF HEAD REST FOR AUTOMOBILE

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent the infiltration of an expandable synthetic resin into the inside of the core material of the head rest for automobiles for which the above- mentioned resin is used at the time of expansion in the production of the above- mentioned head rest. CONSTITUTION:In the process for production of the head rest by mounting the core material 2 internally provided with the rotating mechanism of the head rest into a metallic mold 5 and injecting the expandable synthetic resin into the metallic mold 5; a packing material 6 is loaded on the outside surface of the core material so as to seal the spacing between poles 4 projecting through the core material 2 and the metallic mold 5 to the outside and pole insertion holes 24 of the core material 2. The resin is expanded and molded in the state of loading the core material into the metallic mold 5 in such a manner that the loaded packing material 6 comes into pressurized contact with the inside surface of the metallic mold 5.
