METHOD OF ORIENTATING AN ELONGATE LOAD DURING TRANSFER BY SLINGING A ship load transfer slinging system comprises lines (10,12) which pass therebetween in diverging manner, so that elongate loads such as gun barrels, missiles or torpedoes, can be rotated on passage, and thus be aligned with the side decks of the receiving ship on arrival there.
