PURPOSE:To perform an improvement in productivity, by a method wherein at the time of processing of a rare earth magnet by a cutting grindstone, chipping of a crest line after the processing is controlled, an improvement in cutting accuracy is performed and a reduction of manhour and shortening of a processing time are performed by omitting accuracy-imparting processing in a post-process. CONSTITUTION:A metallic diamond cutting grindstone 1 is provided on a grindstone spindle 3, rare earth magnet is fixed to a table by facing on the cutting grindstone 1, the grindstone 1 is turned while feeding a grinding liquid 10 to its confronted contact point, the first time depth of cut, a spherical speed of the cutting grindstone, a feed speed of the table 6 and a depth of cut on and after the second time are made respectively 1-5mm, 1600-4000m/min., 30-120mum/min. and 3-7mum and processing is performed by a large number of times of cuttings. |
