PURPOSE: To obtain Haemophilus paragallinarum vaccine having high prevention against Haemophilus paragallinarum infectious disease of edible pet birds and constitutionally including no cell having fear of causing a side effect and no fibrous material. CONSTITUTION: This Haemophilus paragallinarum(Hp) vaccine substantially includes no cell and no fibrous material, is derived from a membrane fraction of Hp cells containing about 38kD protein measured by SDS-PAGE, or an immunological equivalent thereof, preferably from external-membrane preparation containing the 38kD protein as a main protein component, especially from the membrane fraction of Hp cells having two or more different serotypes (e.g. serotypes A, B and C) and is a preventive vaccine for edible pet birds against Hp infectious disease. The bird vaccinated with an effective amount of the vaccine is completely prevented from catching the Hp infectious disease. The vaccine can includes one or more microorganism having infectivity against the edible pet bird, or an immunogenicity material thereof.
