PURPOSE:To replenish the more accurate quantity of toner in an image forming device which controls a toner replenishing mechanism by the use of a controlled quantity determined by an integrating signal value corresponding to the quantity of consumed toner. CONSTITUTION:The output level at every picture element of a digital image signal converting photoelectrically an original image is counted by a counter 4 to calculate integrating signal value K and sent to a correction circuit 33. In the correction circuit 33, a minute error DELTAK generated when the integrating signal value K of 32-bit data is converted to the toner replenishing quantity of 8-bit data is integrated every time toner replenishment is carried out. When the integrating value exceeds the minimum replenishment integrating signal value level K1, it is converted to the quantity of toner replenishment and a control signal is sent to a motor driving circuit 7 from a CPU 61, thereby carrying out toner replenishment. By repeating the process, the minute error DELTAK is eliminated. |
