Heat pipe for use in a virtually horizontal position, comprising an elongate, closed reservoir which is formed by a rotatable assembly 42 comprising an outer tube 60 and an inner tube 61 which is arranged concentrically therein, the space 65 between the pipes 60, 61 being closed off by means of end walls 62, 63 in the vicinity of the ends of the heat pipe, and this space 65 being partially filled with a working liquid. The filling level of the working liquid is such that, if the axis of rotation of the heat pipe is inclined at 5 degree with respect to its horizontal position, at least one descriptive line of the outer wall of the inner tube 61 is in contact with the working liquid over the entire length. <IMAGE>
