The invention concerns the field of pools, and its object is means for sealing the passage of an access, steps for example, into pools floored with a tarpaulin, termed liner. This device, which is intended to seal pools floored with a liner (2) including a cutout, being the sort of device comprising a strip held by fixing screws (18) for the purpose of compressing the liner (2) around the cutout, is mainly characterised in that the said strip (12) is housed in a groove (14); the faces of the strip (12) and of the groove (14) which are intended to be facing each other are substantially concordant in shape, so that juxtaposition thereof reveals slight antagonism, the strip being slightly deformable, such that the compression of the liner (2) results from the deformation of the strip (12). <IMAGE>
