PURPOSE:To obtain a frozen WAKAME seaweed, preservable for a long period and excellent in texture, color and luster by dipping a prescribed amount of the WAKAME seaweed with a prescribed salt content in a specific solution, draining the WAKAME seaweed, then packaging the resultant WAKAME seaweed followed by freezing. CONSTITUTION:WAKAME seaweed regulated to <=10% salt content is dipped in a solution at pH6-6.5 prepared by blending 0.25-0.5% protamine with 0.8-1.6% calcium lactate at 8-15 deg.C in a cold dark place for 20-40min. The resultant WAKAME seaweed is then drained, cut to a prescribed length, vacuum packaged and frozen at -20 deg.C to afford the objective WAKAME seaweed. |
