PURPOSE:To provide the data protection device for the electronic equipment which can surely protect the data in a data storage part backed up by a power source and surely turn OFF the power source. CONSTITUTION:When a power switch 8 is turned ON and electric power begins to be supplied, a relay contact 23 connected in parallel to the power switch 8 is made to supply the electric power continuously even after the power switch 8 is turned OFF. When the power switch 8 is turned OFF, the data in the RAM 12 are automatically stored on a disk device 19 and a relay 22 is stopped so as to break the relay contact 23, thereby automatically stopping supplying the electric power. |
