PURPOSE: To obtain a device and a method capable of quickly executing easy and accurate adjustment and matching by providing the device with a scanning disk and plural elements formed in an optical path for passing light reflected from a sample up to the visual section of the disk. CONSTITUTION: Light emitted from a lamp 5 is passed through a condenser lens and directed to a rotary scanning disk 6 on which many holes 7 are etched. Light reflected from a target 15 is focused by an objective lens 10, transmitted to a mirror 3 through a beam splitter 9 and reflected by the mirror 3 to form its image on a visible section 16. Light passed through the disk holes 7 in the visible section 16 is reflected from a mirror 4 and sent to a relay lens 17 and an eyepiece 18 for observing the image, so that the rotation of the disk forms a scanning effect and completes image formation. Since a specific adjusting means is included in an optical element fitting device, the adjustment and matching of a microscope can be executed in a stable state.
