<p>PURPOSE: To provide artificial leather having the same external appearance and touch as natural leather and excellent in elasticity. CONSTITUTION: A support fabric is woven using warp threads of blended yarns of cellulose staple fibers such as cotton or cellulose fibers and polyester fibers and weft threads obtained by coating elastomeric fibers having polyurethane segments with blended fibers consisting of polyamide fibers as a first layer and cellulose fibers and polyester fibers as a second layer and containing up to 50% polyester fibers and subsequently napped. A solution obtained by dissolving a polyurethane base synthetic polymer in a solvent is applied to both surfaces or at least one surface of the support fabric, which then is immersed in a solution containing a solvent and a non-solvent of the synthetic polymer to be solidified, washed and dried so that a porous synthetic polymer layer having fine pores of 10-80μm diameter, preferably 30-50μm, is formed. Afterward, the support fabric thus obtained is subjected to the transfer coating of colored polymeric film, the abrasive treatment, the engraving roller treatment or the like according to the target to obtain the objedive artificial leather.</p> |
