PURPOSE:To provide the color filter which is well flattened and the process for production thereof. CONSTITUTION:This color filter is constituted by sticking a 1st transparent substrate 21 formed with black matrix patterns 20 and a 2nd transparent substrate 25 formed with red, green and blue picture element patterns 22 to 24 in correspondence to the black matrix patterns in such a manner that the black matrix patterns 20 and the picture element patterns 22 to 24 face each other. |
