<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the structure, to suppress a vertical wave being a polarized wave component whose increase is undesired, and to prevent forgery by using a polarized wave suppressing slot in place of a polarized wave suppression grating. CONSTITUTION:A polarized wave suppressing slot D has a depth (d) and a width Wb by a waveguide face orthogonal to a slot face and a flair B in the slot waveguide antenna in which the slot waveguide A having slots in the lengthwise direction and the flair B provided with a base supporting the waveguide A from its rear side and a radio wave reflecting face. The depth (d) is set to be d=(1/8+n/2)lambda, where lambda is a wavelength of an operating radio wave and (n) is a 0 or a natural number. The width Wb is selected to be 1/2 wavelength or below, the horizontal polarized wave component is to be cut off, the width Wb is selected optionally with a limit of a 1/2 wavelength or below with respect to the operating frequency.</p> |
