PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the size of an object visually by providing a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements on a semiconductor substrate with a predetermined distance being provided, covering the specified region with light screening materials, and indicating the image obtained by sequentially scanning said elements on a monitoring TV. CONSTITUTION:The object 2 to be measured and a lens system 3 are arranged between a light source 1 and solid image-pickup elements 5. The image 4 which is passed through the lens system 3 is contacted to the elements 5. Then, the elements 5 are scanned by a driver circiut 6 which is provided at the stage next to the elements 5, and a resultant synchronized signal output 10 is applied on the monitoring TV 8. An output 11 from said elements 5 is transformed into a video signal 12 by using a signal amplification and processing circuit 7, and also sent to the TV 8. An image 9 of the object to be measured is obtained on the TV 8 by controlling the circuit 7 with the circuit 6. In this constitution, a plurality of element 20, which are arranged in the one or two dimensions on the semiconductor substrate, are employed as the elements 5, a specified region is covered by a light screening grid 30, and the distance between the elements 20 are so selected that the image 9 is not distorted. |
