A rotary switch mechanism comprising first and second rotary disks (10, 20) which are connected together by a torsion spring (16) coupled between them so as to transmit the rotary drive from the first to the second disk. A retractable stop member (32) on the second disk abuts against a fixed stop (1a) on the housing (1) of the switch, during the first part of the rotational movement, so that the spring is tensioned and then rides over the stop so that the energy of the spring is suddenly released, rotating the second disk quickly to operate a pivotable cam follower (5) which in turn acts on the movable switch contacts (3). |
