A drying machine for flat objects has an endless chain conveyor with carrier rack, angled on the top horizontal stretch at over 90 deg.. It has an entry and an exit for the objects. The conveyor track descends towards the exit, with the rack held almost vertically. Pref., an endless chain (14) revolves around a large wheel (5), and a smaller one (3), and having a descent from the horizontal near the end of the movement (2), so that the spokes of the rack (16) move from an angle of 90 deg., to approx. 88 deg. along the section (26). USE/ADVANTAGE - The system allows objects to be loaded with little or no front contact, so that they may be soft and require drying to harden as they pass through the machine, without damage. Suitable for flat objects e.g. circuit boards, having been varnished, or similar objects which harden as they dry.
