The regulator is for control of an IC engine, with a pivoted throttle valve. It has a servo motor with a rotor, and a transmission. This has two meshing toothed gears with different reference diameters, to transmit a pivot movement of the rotor to a pivoted movement of the throttle valve. Both gears have a stationary pivot axis. The toothed gear (10) with the larger reference diameter has internal toothing (16). The pivot axis (30) of the gear (10) with the smaller reference diameter, is located within the larger reference diameter. The internal toothing covers less than 360 deg. ADVANTAGE - Requires smaller space, which results in larger transmission ratio.
