The method comprises (a) injecting liquid crystal into the cell fabricated with upper and lower substrates (1,2), on which electrodes and oriented films are formed, (b) applying an uniform pressure on the whole surfaces of the substrates using a pressing plate-equipped cylinder, (c) putting and contracting the cell in the chamber (P) at -5 deg.C to -20 deg.C for a given time, and (d) taking it out of the chamber and sealing the liquid crystal inlet with a sealant at room temperature so that the sealant penetrates into the cell as the contracted liquid crystal cell expands.
