The extracter comprises a main chamber body housing an oriental medicine container having pores in its side wall and being mounted on the tip of a rotatary shaft provided through the center of the chamber bottom to connect with a motor for rotation by engagement of a belt and pulleys; an open container mounted on the top of the chamber cover plate and housing steam tube coils communicating with the chamber through the a hole in the cover plate and releasing the steam pressure by cooling with air blown through the open top by a fan, the water from the cooled steam being returned into the chamber and the air being discharged via an outlet; and a base for housing the rotatary shaft and motor. The oriental medicine in the container is steam heated at 150 deg.C with steam supplied from an outer source for the container to be rotated for centrifugal separation of the medicine extract through the pores in the wall. A number of extracter units may be used for simultaneous operation with a steam source.
