Laser operated surveyor's level with dual reference facility - has swivelling head, motorised rotating prism, and adaptor for sweeping beam in both horizontal and vertical planes
摘要
The surveyor's level accommodates a laser (5) in its housing (1) and has a head (3) which pivots (4) through 90 deg. The adaptor (10) is removed and the head swivelled to the vertical in an initial instrument alignment procedure when a motor driven rotating prism (2) projects the laser beam in a horizontal plane (15) referenced by signals from a remote sensor. The head is then swung to the horizontal, the adaptor replaced and its prism (11) deflects the beam to the new position of the prism so that its rotation now sweeps the beam in a vertical plane (9). USE/ADVANTAGE - Enables vertical reference plane to be defined wrt horizontal datum plane in simple/accurate manner without re-siting instrument.
