Electrically-heated horse blanket - uses heating element between inner and outer blanket layers

The horse blanket (1) has an electrical heating element (2) sandwiched between inner and outer layers, supplied via a lead cable (4) which can be plugged in to a vehicle battery. The heating element can be controlled via an electronic switch (5) and a thermostat (3), for preventing overheating. The blanket may be designed to fit over the rear quarters, or incorporate the heating element only in the part of the blanket fitting over the rear quarters to protect the horse's kidneys. Alternatively the heating element can be supplied with current by a battery fitted into a battery pocket provided by the blanket or strapped around the body of the horse. USE/ADVANTAGE - For protecting horse transported in horse box, or kept in stall, from excessive cold. Rapid and safe adjustment of temp. to suit climatic conditions.
