<p>A plastic material suitable for floor coverings &c. is produced by the admixture of a material prepared by adding 10 per cent of sodium thiosulphate to 90 per cent of calcium carbonate, the proportions being by volume to a composition of plaster of Paris and sawdust or cork. The ingredients are rendered plastic by the addition of water and spread in position. In an example, 5 parts by volume of plaster of Paris and 4 parts by volume of sawdust or cork are mixed and to the mixture is added 1 part by volume of the above mixture of sodium thiosulphate and calcium carbonate.</p> |
