<p>An apparatus for applying covers to books of signatures (32) transported along a binding line includes cover feeders for feeding at least two covers (42a,42b) upon a conveyor line and a fastening arrangement for joining the covers in substantially superimposed registration on the signatures at a covering station (20) on the binding line (15).
