<p>A number of devices are known in the prior art for determining the number of drops passing through a drip chamber. However, one disadvantage of these devices which has been noted is that the desired drop rate cannot always be maintained and must be corrected manually by the operating personnel. The device according to the invention provides a remedy to this problem, by means of a control mechanism with a housing (3), which has in a vertical direction a bore (13) with a widened recess (7), into which, in the use state, the roller clamp housing (4) with roller clamp wheel (5) is introduced, while the tube (6) is held by the bore, and the roller clamp wheel (5) being held, at its part projecting out of the housing slot (16), approximately positively by a guide segment (11) which can be moved up and down vertically in the housing (3) and which is connected to a drive (10), and the control mechanism having a keyboard (14) for setting the drop rate or intended drop number/time unit and an electrical cable (15) with which it is connected to the drop counter (2), and the intended drop number/time unit being stored in a microprocessor which is contained in the control mechanism (3) and which, in the event of a deviation with respect to the actual drop number shown on the display (12), activates the drive, which leads to a vertical upward or downward movement and, consequently, to a reduction or increase in the drop rate or the liquid quantity to be applied/time unit, and to the compensation of desired and actual values of the drop number. <IMAGE></p> |
