MOVABLE ROOF FOR WASTE DUMPS

A moveable roof for waste dumps is composed of roof elements (2) which are mounted directly on the dumping level of the dump and can be easily moved. As a result, the necessity of complex roof structures with large spans which cover the entire dump and thus require appropriately heavy foundations is eliminated. The roof elements (2) are preferably gable-shaped and lie on support carriers (1) which lead off water in gutters. Drainage channels receive the water from several gutters and carry it to one or more pump sumps from which it is pumped off. The roof is easy to assemble and disassemble and can be adapted to different local conditions. The upper surface of the support carriers can be walked on.
