PURPOSE:To obtain a picture with high resolution by widening the limit band of the luminance signal when the instruction of a still picture is received. CONSTITUTION:An FM modulation luminance signal supplied to a terminal 2 passes BPF5 of band characteristics 33a and inputs to an overlapping circuit 9. The low conversion chrominance components supplied to a terminal 1 inputs through BPF4 of the characteristic 31 and chrominance components mute circuit 17 to a circuit 9. An FM modulation sound signal supplied to a terminal 3 inputs through BPF7 of the characteristic 32 and a sound signal mute circuit 8 to a circuit 9. When animation is recorded, circuits 8 and 17 will not operate. The signal overlapped at the circuit 9 is amplified at a record amplifying circuit 10 and is recorded to a tape 20 by a video voice record head 11. When a still picture record switch 12 is inputted, a still picture record control circuit 13 stops 16 the tape running, operates a circuit 8, mutes the sound signal, controls a filter variable circuit 6 and expands the band of BPF5 to a characteristic 33b. Further, a cue signal record circuit 14 is controlled and the still picture record discrimination signal is recorded to the tape with a cue head 15. |
