<p>PURPOSE: To obtain an integrated circuit package which supports a semiconductor memory chip and supports an exchangeable backup battery preserving data in the case of loss of a main power source. CONSTITUTION: The package 10 has an external socket for receiving the exchangeable backup battery and makes it possible for the positive and negative terminals of the backup battery to engage with positive and negative finger leads 18P, 18N. The positive and negative battery terminals are engaged with elastic terminal contact parts 18PLT, 18NT of the positive and negative finger leads 18P, 18N projecting into a socket. A socket shoulder part 38B and a retainer cap 50 hold the backup battery in the socket and hold the battery in the electrically contactable state with the elastic terminal contact parts.</p> |
