<p>PURPOSE:To allow the production of the multicolor optical filter using a film hardening method which is simple in stage by acting boric acid on a silver salt emulsion consisting of polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) and silver halide. CONSTITUTION:The silver salt emulsion 2 obtd. by mixing an aq. soln. of the halogenated alkaline metal salt expressed by AX (A is an alkaline metal base, X is a halogen group) and aq. soln. of the silver salt compd. expressed by AgY (Y is a boric acid group, sulfuric acid group, etc.) with an aq. PVA soln. is applied on a substrate 1 and is subjected to pattern exposing and developing then to fixing processing, by which a black pattern is obtd. Namely, the boric acid is added to the emulsion at the time of preparing the emulsion and, therefore, the PVA takes a crosslinked structure and eventually the film is hardened. Since this crosslinked structure is not a secure structure, this part swells when the structure comes into contact with water or aq. soln. and the water or the aq. soln. arrives at the inside of the film from this part. Then, desalting, developing and fixing reactions are smoothly progressed.</p> |
