PURPOSE:To provide a nickel-hydrogen cell capable of being charged and discharged at a low voltage as well as of preventing the scattering of hydrogen storage metal particles due to the weathering upon charging and discharging. CONSTITUTION:In a nickel-hydrogen cell in which a hydrogen storage tank 6 is connected via a combining tube 5 to a nickel-hydrogen cell main body, the negative pole 4 of which is a hydrogen gas diffusion permeating film, hydrogen storage alloy powder 7 and a liquid 8 inactive against the hydrogen storage alloy are received in the hydrogen storage tank 6, the liquid level is lowered so as to expose the hydrogen storage alloy powder 7 from the liquid 8 upon the storing and discharging of hydrogen thereby forming liquid film of the liquid 8 on the surface. |
