PURPOSE: To make setting of various kinds of trip parameters possible without requiring a large data storage capacity by carrying out input and display of set point trip parameters while employing a digital key pad and a display. CONSTITUTION: When overcurrent flowing state continuous for a prescribed period, a trip signal is sent to a signal adjuster 26 by a microprocessorμP33 and then outputted to a trip actuator 31. The overcurrent is calculated by theμP33 and in the case overcurrent flowing state is found existing, the actuator 31 is started, a switch in the key pad unit 23 is read out, and reading in process of the input of the key pad 23 and displaying process on a display 22 are carried out. Next, the newly increased set points are displayed and set points are changed by employing algorithm. Consequently, without hindering the protection of a relevant electric power distribution system, input and display and alternation of set points of operation values in a wide range can be carried out at real time.
