<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of the voltage of a fixing roller and an offset even if a fixing device is used for a long time by setting the most outside edge of the paper passing area of a recording form to the outside in an axial direction, compared with the most outside edge of the press-contact part region of a pressure roller and the fixing roller. CONSTITUTION:The pressure roller 2 is pressurized on the fixing roller 1 by a pressure means (not shown in this figure), to form a fixing nip. The contact area Z of a temperature detecting element 4 and the fixing roller 1 is set in a region where the contact area A is not directly in contact with the the pressure roller 2 when a sheet paper body 6 is in a nip, and the paper passing area is set so that the end part of the side of the contact area Z of the sheet paper body 6 protrudes from the nip. A protruding quantity DELTA1, is set to secure the creeping distance of the contact area Z and the end face of the pressure roller 2, when the elastic body 21 of the pressure roller 2 has conductivity. Thus, the paper sheet body 6 acts as an insulating body so that the bias voltage of the core metal 11 of the fixing roller 1 is not leaked.</p> |
