<p>PURPOSE:To supply various services to each terminal equipment accessing a network with multiple tasks by discriminating the processing state of a process based on the operation history at the time of supply of process switching information from the terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:When the terminal equipment sends a picture switching command for reception of electronic mail service to a host system on the way of reception of a prescribed service, an F shell 6 checks the processing state of a mail processing process 5-1. If the process 5-1 is not started yet it is set to the start state. If the process 5-1 is already started and is in the input/output wait state, the F shell 6 reads out the history information of the process 5-1 from a storage means and sends the picture information, which indicates the processing state interrupted before, to the terminal equipment. The restarted mail processing process 5-1 sends an input/output request to the F shell 6, and the F shell 6 sends the processing result to the processing process 5-1.</p> |
