<p>PURPOSE:To mount the same type of CPU even when a part of pin assignment is different and to suppress the increase of consumption current without providing a mounting space for additional function. CONSTITUTION:The CPU 1 to be mounted on a system substrate is designed to be easily attached detached. The computer is provided with a siganl switching circuit 10 switching an input signal to the CPU 1. The signal switching circuit 10 consists of a DOS transposition logic 2, an exclusive register 3, an NMI circuit 4, an AND gate 5, a selector 6, and a flip-flop 7. The exclusive register 3 is reset when the power is turned on, thereby preventing the malfunction of the CPU 1 by closing the gate of the AND gate 5 with the output. Then, the type of the mounted CPU 1 is identified, and the control data is written in the exclusive register 3. By the data written in the exclusive register 3, the gate control of the AND gate 5 and the switching control of the selector 6 are performed, and the signal to the CPU 1 is switched.</p> |
