PURPOSE:To easily and properly adjust picture quality by equivalently adjusting the picture quality of a monitor image and that of a printed image in a hard copying device provided with a picture quality adjusting function. CONSTITUTION:An input video signal is separated into a brightness signal and a chrominance subcarrier(CS) signal by a Y/C separating circuit 2 and the brightness signal is stored in a memory circuit 11. On the other hand, a color difference signal is demodulated from the CS signal by a color demodulating circuit 9, the demodulated signal is added to an outline signal extracted by an outline extracting circuit 5 and the added signal is stored in a memory circuit 13. Signals read out from respective memories 11, 13 are converted into a printing video signal by a printing processing circuit 14, and at the time of outputting the video signal to a printer block 15, the signal read out from the memory 13 is inputted to an adder 20 through a band pass filter 16 and a low pass filter 17 and the adder 20 resynthesizes and outputs a monitoring video signal. In this case, the outline signal of the monitoring video signal is made smaller than that of a printing video signal. |
