PURPOSE:To confirm the content of a call immediately by giving priority to the pager function over others when a call is given to the paging system and to minimize the consumption of a battery as much as possible. CONSTITUTION:The telephone system is provided with a pager circuit section 7 and a telephone set circuit section 8. A unit in which a reception speaker 12 of the telephone set circuit section 8 is built and a unit in which the transmission microphone 11 of the telephone set circuit section 8 is built are constituted of cases connected foldably. Then a switch 20 detecting the closing state of both units is provided on any of the two units, and when both units are closed based on the detection output of the switch 20, the pager function priority display mode is set to control the interruption of power supply from a power supply to the battery 16 of the telephone set circuit section 8 and the pager circuit section 7 and also power from the battery 16 to the telephone set circuit section 8. |
