PURPOSE:To greatly improve the expressing ability at the time of damping by performing musical sound control where an initial touch and a gate time are combined. CONSTITUTION:In an example of envelopes L1, L2, L3, and L4 shown in a figure, the damp part of the envelope L1 which has the largest initial touch data (corresponding to 1/DELTAt) has the steepest gradient among 1st-4th damp parts (broken-line part) which are equal in gate time and the damp part of the envelope L4 which has small initial touch data has the steepest gradient (e.g. 8th, 12th, and 16th parts of L4). When the gate time becomes long, the gradient of the damp part becomes gentle (e.g. L4). When this is musically explained, a steep damp part is obtained by strong-touch, short playing and the clearness of a sound stands out. A gentle damp part is obtained by weak- touch, long playing and a moody sound is generated. |
