PURPOSE:To efficiently control the character resources by controlling independently the attribute of the character resources which become a down-load object, and extending a link for the attribute with a corresponding relation so as to define the attribute of the character resources. CONSTITUTION:A typeface information control part 15 divides the typeface information of character resources being the down-load object into typeface common information and typeface individual information and controls it. A character pattern name control part 16 controls the character pattern name which is used by respective typefaces controlled by the typeface information control part 15 in correspondence to an output device characteristic. A character pattern information control part 17 is equipped with a character pattern common information control part 19 and a character code pattern library 20, and thus, controls the character pattern information held by the character pattern. A shared relation control part 18 controls the shared relation of the character code pattern information between code type classifications controlled by the character pattern common information control part 19. The control data concerning the designated character resources are down-loaded to an output device 2. |
