<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the binary picture of less blur and crush by scanning plural inputted binarized pictures, which are binarized by various thresholds, in the horizontal and vertical directions to select optimum runs and synthesizing these selected runs. CONSTITUTION:A picture is inputted to a picture input processing 1 with a certain threshold, a lower threshold, and a higher threshold to obtain a locally blurred or crushed picture (a), a picture (b) of less blur, and a picture (c) of less crush respectively. These three pictures (a), (b), and (c) are scanned in the horizontal direction by a scanner in a processing 2-1, and optimum one of runs as series of black picture elements on the scanning lines of pictures is selected for each area in a processing 2-3. In the same manner, they are scanned in the vertical direction in a processing 3-1, and an optimum run is selected for each area in a processing 3-3. In a processing 4, OR between runs selected by scanning in horizontal and vertical directions is operated to synthesize the bionary pictures.</p> |
