PURPOSE:To provide the message receiver able to surely prevent misrecognition of a content of a reception message. CONSTITUTION:When a routine message designated in a stored reception message is rewritten, identification information representing the revision of the routine message is stored corresponding to the stored reception message. In the case of displaying the stored reception message, when the identification information corresponding to the reception message is not stored, the routine message is displayed through restoration and when the identification information is stored, a reception message including the designation code designating the routine message is displayed as it is and the display form of the reception message including the designation code of the routine message is distinguished depending on the presence of the revision of the content of the routine message memory 21.
