The invention relates to a device for producing, on a terrace of a building, a trackway for a pod (gondola) for maintaining a facade of the building. The device is made up of prefabricated manipulable elements with mating arms for producing a demountable runway, these elements comprising support pads (P) to be distributed over the terrace in order to support the runway rails (R). In order to connect two trackways forming an angle between them, the device comprises slabs to be assembled in order to make up a platform between the two tracks and guide sections to be fixed to the platform in order to guide the pod from one track to the other. The invention applies particularly to pods for cleaning facades. <IMAGE>
