PURPOSE:To stabilize the posture of a process cartridge, suppress the vibration at the time of operation, and provide a high quality image having no pitch unevenness by providing a device for pressing and cramping the process cartridge with a rigid member. CONSTITUTION:A device body has a contact base 4 making contact with a contact surface 14a of the lower surface of a process cartridge 14 below a cleaning device 12. A wedge 3 capable of protruding and recessing between the root side having a shaft 21 for pivotally installing an opening and closing cover 30 to the device body and the upper part of the cleaning device 12 of the process cartridge 14 is provided. A connecting beam 1 is pressed down by closing the opening and closing cover 30 to rotate a crank 2 in the arrowed direction, and a link 8 is moved to the right to push the wedge 3 between the process cartridge 14 and the opening and closing cover 30. Thus, the process cartridge 14 is pressed onto the contact base 4 and cramped thereby. |
