<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction of an electronic equipment with a simple circuit by providing a reset control circuit resetting the system when an output signal from one of the electric power supply monitoring circuits indicates an abnormality in electric power supply. CONSTITUTION:This extension system is provided with a reset IC 22 provided in a function extension device 2 and sending an automatic electric power supply monitoring signal Db to a personal computer (PC) main body 1, a reset IC 12 provided in the PC main body 1 and outputting an automatic electric power supply monitoring signal Da, and a reset control circuit 13 receiving each electric power supply monitoring signal Da and Db and resetting the system when at least either signal indicates an abnormality in electric power supply. When an abnormality occurs in the electric power supply on the function extension device 2, a reset signal (SR='0') is outputted from a reset control circuit (CC) 13 in the PC main body 1, the system is reset and the processing operation of the PC main body 1 is stopped. Thus, the malfunction of the PC main body 1 in accordance with the abnormality in electric power supply can be evaded.</p> |
